Thursday, September 12th, 2019 -- The 2019-20 US Youth Soccer Desert Conference kicks off this weekend in Salt Lake City with 14 12U-14U Boys and Girls Arizona teams in action.
The older age groups, 15U-19U, begin play at the second conference event in Phoenix this November.
Teams competing in this year's Desert Conference will be competing for a spot at the 2020 US Youth Soccer Far West Regionals in Boise, Idaho, and the opportunity to qualify for the 2020-21 US Youth Soccer National League.
Last year, the boys had a strong showing with four teams qualifying for the 2019 Far West Regional Championships.
