32 Arizona Players Advance To DI Women's College Cup

NCAA-DI-Womens-1200
Tuesday, November 12th, 2019 --  The field of 64 teams has been announced for the NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Championship (College Cup) and 32 former Arizona Soccer Association players will be vying for a chance to lift the national title.

This is the highest number of players from Arizona in the DI Women's College Cup since the Arizona Soccer Association began tracking the players three seasons ago. In 2017 there were 24 players and in 2018 there were 21 players

Highlights from this year's DI Women's College Cup bracket
  • The University of Arizona was the only women's program from Arizona to advance to the DI Women's College Cup. They will play host to TCU in the first round on November 16 at 6:00 p.m. This is also the first time in program history that the University of Arizona has gone to the DI Women's College Cup three years in a row.
  • Programs led by Arizona coaches who have advanced to the DI Women's College Cup include: Colorado (Danny Sanchez head coach, Jason Green assistant coach) and Michigan (Jennifer Klein head coach), Milwaukee (Chris Brown assistant coach)
