5 AZ Players Named To U.S. National Teams

AZ-Call-ups

Friday, October 4th, 2019 -- Five Arizona players have been named to U.S. Men's and Women's National Teams this week. 

U-23 Men's National Team

Three Arizona natives were along 25 players named to the U-23 MNT squad by head coach Jason Kries. 

Justen Glad (Tucson/Real Salt Lake), Brooks Lennon (Paradise Valley/Real Salt Lake), and Richard Ledezma (Phoenix/PSV Eindhoven) will participate in the 10-day camp which will be held at Florida International University from October 6-15. The U.S. will face El Salvador on October 15th. 

This camp marks another step in the U-23 MNT's path to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. In March, the U.S. will join El Salvador and six other nations at the 2020 Men's Olympic Qualifying Championship in Guadalajara, Mexico. 

U-18 Women's National Team

Mollie Griswold (Arizona Arsenal) is currently with the U-18 WNT for a week-long camp at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. 

The purpose of this camp is to identify playres who will participate in the 2020 FIFA Under-20 Women's World Cup. Griswold and the other 39-players called up will attempt to qualify next year at the U-20 CONCACAF qualifying. 

Griswold was a member of the Arizona ODP. At last year's 2019 ODP West Championships, she scored seven goals and helped the 2002 Girls win the 17U title. 

U-15 Girl's National Team

Brooke Fabri (Phoenix Rising FC Youth Soccer) has been named to the U-15 GNT roster for an upcoming National ID camp in Kansas City from October 6-9. 

Fabri is a current member of the Arizona ODP. At this past year's 2019 ODP West Championships, Fabri led all Arizona players with 10 goals. She scored the game-winning goal in the 14U Girls (2005) championship match.
