PHOENIX (Thursday, December 15, 2021) – Arizona native Jessica McDonald has been selected to be inducted into the 2022 NJCAA Hall of Fame class. McDonald shares her feelings of this honor on twitter as she tweets “I’m lost for words right now”.

Jessica McDonald played for Sereno Soccer Club and high school soccer at Cactus Highschool in Glendale. She then attended Phoenix College where she competed for over a year and was named a First-Team Junior College All-American and National Junior College Player of the Year. “In addition, McDonald received First-Team, All-Conference and All-Regional Honors and quickly became the most-decorated women’s athlete in the history of PC over the two years she attended” (Phoenix College, 2019). McDonald later transferred to North Carolina where she won a National Title.

McDonalds professional career is still going strong as she represented the USWNT (2019 World Cup winner) and currently plays for the North Carolina Courage in the NWSL.
