PHOENIX (Friday, September 17, 2021) -- The Arizona Soccer Association (ASA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jon Ruzan as Chief Executive Officer.
With more than 25 years of business management, marketing communications, and nonprofit management experience in senior leadership roles, Mr. Ruzan also brings more than 20 years of soccer experience as a club and college soccer coach, administrator, board member and committee chair. His extensive business background ranges across several industries including financial services, real estate, and insurance, as well as trade association management, education, and athletic administration.
In his most recent role prior to joining ASA as CEO, Mr. Ruzan served as Vice President of Communications for STORE Capital, where he managed all aspects of corporate, internal, and marketing communications for the NYSE publicly traded real estate investment trust. His soccer career highlights include serving as a board member and committee chair for the Arizona Youth Soccer Association (now ASA), founding and leading the Banat Soccer Club, and coaching Paradise Valley Community College to an NJCAA D1 Women’s Soccer National Championship in 2016.

Founded in 1974, the Arizona Soccer Association (ASA) is a state affiliate of the United States Youth Soccer Association (USYSA), the youth affiliate and largest member of the United State Soccer Federation (USSF). ASA has grown significantly in the last decade numbering more than 45,000 players statewide and leading the nation in state membership growth.
