On March 20, 2020 the Arizona Soccer Association (ASA) announced the suspension of all ASA sanctioned soccer related activities until April 10, 2020. However it has come to ASA’s attention that there are still a small number of groups that are meeting and doing some form of organized activities. With that we are sending out a reminder that all soccer related activities are suspended until at least April 10, 2020.
Under the ASA insurance contracts, member clubs, administrators, coaches, and players are provided liability and accident insurance only while conducting sanctioned/approved ASA activities. Due to the suspension of all ASA sanctioned soccer related activities, there is no insurance coverage provided to any organizations or persons conducting soccer activities (i.e. training, practices, games) during this suspension.
It is important to also highlight that in these very fluid and confusing times that each of us has a social responsibility to avoid any type of mass, or group gatherings. The current directives from the CDC and the Arizona Department of Health Services are very specific and direct regarding social distancing.
The ASA staff is working remotely and remain committed to providing support to Clubs, Leagues, teams, players, and families. Don’t hesitate to contact ASA if you have any questions.
