Monday, January 27th, 2020 -- Another Arizona player is making the jump to the professional level and this time it's Peoria native Bryce Duke who has signed with Major League Soccer's LAFC.
Duke played locally for CISCO, Valparaiso, and CCV Stars before moving down to the Barca Residency Academy in Casa Grande. With Barca, he and the Under-18/19 Development Academy team won last year's Supporters' Shield. This past year he scored five goals in 13 matches.
To acquire Duke, LAFC sent Real Salt Lake $50,000 in 2021 General Academy Money. Duke has already made his debut for LAFC, playing 45 minutes in a 2-0 friendly win over Penarol on Saturday night.
