Wednesday, January 13th, 2021 -- Arizona's Kelsey Turnbow (SC del Sol/Pinnacle High School) is the latest Arizona player to head to the pros. In Wednesday's 2021 NWSL Draft, Turnbow was selected 18th overall by the Chicago Red Stars.
Turnbow is the fifth Arizona player to be selected in the NWSL Draft. Previously selected players include Ashley Hatch (2017), Cali Farquharson (2016), McKenzie Berryhill (2017) and Julie Ertz (2014).
In three seasons at Santa Clara, Turnbow appeared in 67 matches scoring 35 goals and notching 22 assists. Turnbow has also been part of the U14, U15, U17, U18, U19, and U20 US Women's National Teams most recently being called up in 2018 when she was named to the US U-20 team for the 2018 CONCACAF Women's U-20 Championship.
