Arizona's Tate Schmitt Named #1 Prospect In PDL


Tuesday, May 29th, 2018 -- Last week, the Premier Development League (PDL) named Phoenix native Tate Schmitt as the #1 prospect in the country. 

In two seasons with FC Tucson (2016-17), Schmitt has scored 10 goals and notched six assists in 25 matches. 
Schmitt also a student-athlete at the University of Louisville. In three seasons, he has scored 21 goals and recorded nine assists. This past season, his junior year, Schmitt scored four game-winning goals including the clinching goals in NCAA Championship wins against San Francisco and Colgate.
Schmitt gradated from Desert Vista High School and won three state championships with CCV Stars. He also played for the Real Salt Lake - Arizona Academy where he helped the U-17/18 team finish at runner-up in both 2014 and 2015.
