MESA, Ariz. – Legacy Sports USA announced today a new partnership with the Arizona Soccer Association, the largest soccer association in the state with more than 45,000 registered players. The ASA has signed a multi-year agreement and will help promote Legacy Sports Park as the leading destination for youth soccer not just for programs and clubs in Arizona, but regionally and nationally as well.
“Our goal is for Legacy Sports Park to be the preeminent facility for youth soccer in the country and this partnership with the Arizona Soccer Association only helps to strengthen that plan,” said Jeff de Laveaga, Chief Operating Officer of Legacy Sports USA.
Legacy Sports Park’s 320-acre layout includes 36 fields for soccer (20 turf, 12 multi-use and 4 grass) and 22 Olympic-sized futsal courts which will host various Youth Leagues, Cup events, Club Tournaments, Open Leagues, Futsal and other various youth soccer events.
“We feel it is important to provide a top-notch facility for youth soccer, not just for those in Arizona, but throughout the country – Legacy Sports Park is that facility,” said Rick Kelsey, CEO of the Arizona Soccer Association. “This is a perfect partnership to continue to grow youth soccer, but also to help the East Valley community and the state of Arizona due to the significant visitors Legacy Sports Park will draw each year.”
The goal of the Arizona Soccer Association is to provide a positive soccer experience. Additionally, the ASA provides recreation and competitive play, coaching education, community outreach, health and well-being information, and TOPSoccer. The ASA hosts State Cup and Presidents Cup, Arizona’s most prestigious soccer tournaments, and manages the Arizona Advanced Leagues, the top competitive soccer league in the Southwest region.
Legacy Sports Park is a privately owned, 320-acre multi-use family sports and entertainment complex in Mesa, Ariz., currently under construction with plans to officially open to the public in January of 2022. Legacy Sports Park will create more than 1,500 jobs and generate hundreds of millions of dollars in direct economic impact back to the surrounding community, with an expected three million visitors annually.
