Wednesday, May 29th, 2019 -- The Arizona Soccer Association (ASA) announces the hiring of Chris Blundell as the new Director of Player Development and Janelle Castillo as the Member Services Assistant.
Blundell, who is a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) Grassroots Instructor, will lead the Olympic Development Program (ODP), develop and deliver ASA's after school programming, and support coaching education. Blundell will work in collaboration with ASA member clubs.
Blundell holds a USSF National "A" License and he has served as an ASA State Coaching Education Staff Member since 2012. He started coaching in 1992 in Connecticut before moving to Arizona where he has served as the Director of Coaching for MSC United and most recently as the Youth Development Academy Director for SC del Sol.
Castillo will work with the administrative department of the ASA in support of customer service, registration, and risk management. Castillo joins ASA after serving as a club registrar from 2013-19 and as a Team Manager from 2003-19.
