Thursday, April 16th 2020 -- The Arizona Soccer Association, Nevada Youth Soccer Association, New Mexico Youth Soccer Association, Colorado Soccer Association, and Utah Youth Soccer Association are pleased to announce a Regional XBOX and PS4 FIFA 20 Online Tournament for its members.
The one-week single-elimination tournament kicks off on Monday, April 20, and is free for all 13U-17U players registered with their state associations. The tournament will see 25 players from each state square off against each other in four brackets with the four bracket winners advancing to the Final Grand Finale which will be held on Friday, April 24. There will be prizes for the bracket winners and the Grand Finale champions will take on a Major League Soccer pro. Throughout the tournament, select matches will be streamed on twitch.tv/arizonasoccer.
The 125 players per system (XBOX and PS4) will be randomly seeded into four brackets and the players will play the entirety of their bracket from 3:00PM-5:00PM. Bracket A will play Monday, Bracket B on Tuesday, Bracket C on Wednesday, and Bracket D on Thursday.
"With matches between our states coming to a stop on the fields, all the state associations thought we could bring that friendly competition into our homes," said Garrett Cleverly, ASA Director of Communications. "We're all looking forward to connecting with our communities and of course having a great time."
Registration is now open for all 13U-17U players.
