September 21, 2017 -- The Arizona Youth Soccer Association is pleased to announce and welcome Garrett Cleverly as the new Director of Communications. Garrett will be responsible for the promotion and coverage of the Arizona Youth Soccer Association and all of its member clubs through content creation, graphic design, photography, videography, a social media strategy, and implementation of special events.
Garrett is a well-known figure in the Arizona soccer scene with six years of experience covering and promoting Arizona soccer on radio, television, and his website AZKicksit.com, which launched in 2012 with the sole purpose of covering Arizona soccer from youth to professional.
Within the industry, Garrett was previously employed as the Marketing Manager for the Grande Sports Academy home of the Real Salt Lake - Arizona Academy, the Director of Media Relations & Digital Media for Arizona United SC, and the Director of Communications for FC Arizona.
Additionally, Garrett co-hosted the highly-rated SBI Show with goal.com and sbisoccer.com's Ives Galarcep. Garrett has covered the MLS Cup, MLS All-Star Game, and U.S. Men’s National Team and Women’s National Team matches.
Garrett’s drive, passion, and work ethic are assets that will complement and benefit the Arizona Youth Soccer Association and its 43,000 registered athletes.
