Monday, December 18, 2017 -- The first annual Arizona Youth Soccer Association Charity Golf Tournament presented by Rated Sports was a smashing success with $12,000 raised.
The tournament was held at the Wildfire Golf Course at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge and the money that was raised through will directly benefit Arizona teams that qualify for and attend the Far West Regionals in Hawaii next summer (June 2018).
"Thank you to all of the sponsors and participants that assisted in making the AYSA first Annual Golf Charity Event an overwhelming success," said AYSA Director of Operations, Chris Webb. "I would like to extend a special thank you to our title sponsor, Rated Sports Group, and our lunch sponsor Barrows Neurological Institute. This event is a fantastic beginning to our continued effort to give back to our clubs, coaches, and referees throughout the state of Arizona."
The winning team of Adam Burke, Andy Chapman, Neil Graham, and Chris Brown fired a 18-under 53. Second place finishers were Mike Briseno, Mike Jasken, Nick Bruge, and Dean Esterberg with a 56 and the third place finishers were Jeff Williams, Mike Chapman, Grady Hansen, and Jeremy Smith. Longest drive was awarded to Joash Dukes and the closets to the pin was Neil Graham.
