AZ Exports: Cassie Miller Makes NWSL Debut, Ashley Hatch Scores

The month-long 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup is underway in Salt Lake City with a handful of Arizona natives in action.

Below is a brief recap on how each player has performed this past week. 
 
Ashley Hatch, F, Washington Spirit - Started, played 86 minutes and scored a goal in Washington's 2-1 win over Chicago Red Stars on Saturday and started and played 83 minutes in Washington's 2-0 loss to North Carolina on Wednesday.

Julie Ertz, M, Chicago Red Stars - Started and played 90 minutes in Chicago's 2-1 loss to Washington on Saturday and did not play in Chicago's scoreless draw against Portland on Wednesday.

Cassie Miller, GK, Chicago Red Stars - Made her NWSL debut on Wednesday when she was brought on in the 46th minute. Miller combined with starting Chicago Red Stars goalkeeper, Emily Noyd, to make 16 saves in a scoreless match against Portland on Wednesday.

Jessica McDonald, F, North Carolina Courage - Currently injured, however, Courage head coach Paul Riley said that she is "pretty close".
