AZ's Justen Glad Named To USMNT Roster

Thursday, December 20th, 2018 -- One Arizona player has been named to the U.S. Men's National Team Roster for the annual January Camp which features a January 27 match in Glendale, Arizona, at State Farm Stadium.

The lone Arizona played named to the roster is Justen Glad, who lived in Tucson and played for CISCO. 
 
27 players in total were named to the roster by new head coach Gregg Berhalter. They will report January 6 to the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center. The USMNT will play their first game in Glendale against Panama and will then face Costa Rica in San Jose on February 2. 
 
Some other notable players named to the roster include Corey Baird, 2018 MLS Rookie of the Year, who spent a season at the Real Salt Lake Academy in Casa Grande. Goalkeeper Zack Steffan, 2018 U.S. Soccer Player of the Year, who will sign with Manchester City on July 9, 2019. Michael Bradley, 142 caps, Kellyn Acosta, Paul Arriola, Greg Garza, Wil Trapp, and Gyasi Zardes are a few other notable players that have seen significant playing time with the USMNT.
