Tuesday, December 5, 2017 -- The US Youth Soccer National League Girls Fall Showcase in Wilson, North Carolina, is in the books with Scottsdale Blackhawks Taylor 00 Girls (click here for bracket)  and Arizona Arsenal 01 Girls (click here for bracket) jumping out to great starts. 

Both clubs finished the first weekend of play with a 2-1-1 record and scored a combined 21 goals while conceding 12 goals. The other Arizona team in the National League, CCV Stars 04 Girls, wrapped up the weekend with four losses (click here for bracket).

Scottsdale Blackhawks Taylor 00 Girls, who won their group last year by winning all seven matches, opened up this year's National League with a loss before bouncing back with a win, draw, and then a 4-1 win in their final match. Arizona Arsenal jumped out to a hot start winning the first two matches before playing to a draw on Saturday and then suffering their first loss on Sunday. Scottsdale Blackhawks are second in their group and just one point behind the group leaders who they played to a draw. Arsenal is third in the group and five points behind the group leaders, who they have yet to play. 

To advance to the 2018 US Youth Soccer National Championships, which will be held in Frisco, Texas from July 25-29, teams in the 16U-18U age groups must win their age groups. The next National League weekend event will be held from March 16-18.
