
Arizona teams will be competing against teams from
Utah, Nevada, Colorado, and New Mexico
September 15, 2017 -- The Desert Premier League kicks off this weekend for the U-12 to U-14 boys and girls teams and 19 teams from nine clubs in Arizona are traveling up to Utah for a weekend of matches at the Salt Lake Regional Athletic Complex.
Last year in the Desert Premier League, Arizona had a strong showing winning seven of 16 age groups. The Tuzos 02 team that advanced to the US Youth Soccer National Championships last year won their Desert Premier League U-15 group. Every team that wins their age group this year will book their ticket to the Far West Region IV Championships in Honolulu from June 18-24.
Matches for boys and girls are scheduled to kick off on Friday afternoon with additional matches on Saturday and Sunday.
The older age groups (U-15 through U-19) will play over two weeks with the first from November 17-19 in Las Vegas and the second in Casa Grande from March 2-4.
The younger age groups will play on additional dates from November 3-5 in Mesquite, Nevada and April 6-9 in Casa Grande.
