Former AYSA players see action in RSL's friendly vs Man United

July 21, 2017 - Justen Glad, Brooks Lennon, and Jose Hernandez, all former Arizona Youth Soccer Association players, saw action in Real Salt Lake's historic friendly against Manchester United at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, Utah Monday night

While all three players eventually found their way to the Real Salt Lake - Arizona Academy before signing professionally with Real Salt Lake, all three played for local Arizona youth clubs on the same Reach 11 and Scottsdale Sports Complex fields our current youth players compete on.

Glad (Cisco Tucson), earned the start and played 31 minutes before he and the other starters were subbed off. During Glad's shift, Real Salt Lake were able to find the back of the net courtesy of a Luis Silva goal.

At the 31st minute, Real Salt Lake brought a new XI that included Lennon (Sereno Soccer Club) and Hernandez (Tuzos). Hernandez then played the remainder of the match while Lennon was subbed off in the 70th minute.

Hernandez summarized the magnitude of the match with this perfect tweet.
