Wednesday, January 6th, 2021 - It was another banner year for coaching education at the Arizona Soccer Association as more than 300 coaches were awarded licenses in 2020.
At the beginning of 2019, the ASA made coaching education a top priority, and this year's number builds upon last year's 270 coaching licenses.
Even with the numerous changes this year due to COVID-19 protocols, ASA Technical Director, Chris Blundell was able to organize and execute classes in Phoenix (4 classes), Prescott (3), Peoria (3), Tucson (2), Anthem (2), Yuma (2), Suprise (2), Mesa (2), and Oro Valley. ASA also wants to thank all of our member clubs who helped host these classes.
Breakdown of coaching licenses awarded in 2020:
128 - 11v11 Licenses awarded
89 - 9v9 Licenses awarded
26 - 7v7 Licenses awarded
56 - D Licenses awarded
24 - US Soccer C Licenses (Attended by 24 Candidates - class will complete in coming weeks)

20 - TOPSoccer Buddies
ASA wants to surpass these numbers in 2021 and if you're a club looking to host a class please email chrisblundell@azyouthsoccer.org.
