Phoenix Selected As Host Of 2022 Far West Presidents Cup

PHOENIX (Friday, March 27th, 2011) - Phoenix has been selected to host the 2022 US Youth Soccer Far West Presidents Cup and 2022 Far West Regional 12U Championship.

The 2022 US Youth Soccer Far West Presidents Cup will be held at Reach 11 Sports Complex from June 15-19 and the 2022 Far West Regional 12U Championship will be held at Scottsdale Sports Complex from June 15-19.

Arizona teams who compete in the 2022 Arizona Soccer Association Presidents Cup will have the opportunity to compete for this national title. Winning teams at the 2022 US Youth Soccer Far West Presidents Cup will advance to the 2022 US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup which will be held in Greensboro, North Carolina from June 7-10.

Last year at the 2021 US Youth Soccer Far West Presidents Cup in Salt Lake City, Spartans FC Academy were the first Arizona team to win since 2013 when SC del Sol 98 brought home the regional title. Spartans FC Academy then went on to win the national title in Iowa and four of their players were named to the Best XI for their outstanding play: Aime Uwimana (Golden Boot), Mossi Ombeniand (captain), Jared Arvizu, and Alex Flores.
