In a match that seemed destined for a draw due to a great defensive showing from both sides, a late SC del Sol goal by Sienna Gonzales was the game-winner.
In the 77th-minute, a free kick on the left side was played into the box. An SC del Sol player provided a flick on for Gonzales who took a touch to the outside and finished with her left foot.
The defense for both sides was stellar with the goalkeepers for both sides coming up with key saves. Kylie Swann of Barcelona and Jordan Ferguson of SC del SOL had three saves each and a highlight of the match was when Swann ran off her line and made a diving save on an SC del SOL player who beat the backline.
SC del SOL has won both matches in the Arizona Premier League and they will face TSA 02 Red Girls on September 30. Barcelona-AZ will be looking to bounce back against Legacy 02 Red Girls on Saturday.

In the early match on Sunday both sides walked away with a 1-1 draw with two outstanding goals.
CCV Stars struck first on a relentless pursuit of the ball. A cross was played into the box and a CCV player extended his foot and redirected the ball into the path of another attacking CCV player. As he got to the ball the Brazas goalkeeper ran off his line and made a one-handed save.
The CCV player fell down but as the ball bounced forward he then scooted with the bouncing ball and scored a spectacular goal all while on the ground.
Brazas looked like they scored the equalizer in the 24th minute, but a player was called offside. The breakthrough did come in the 50th minute when a cross, from the touchline, was played into the box. The ball took a touch moments before it was fired the ball into the net.
Both sides pushed for the game-winning goal after this, but both sides were unable to find the goal. CCV Stars will now face North Scottsdale 04 Sandsharks on Sunday and Brazas will face SC del SOL 04 Boys on Sunday as well.
