September 25, 2017 -- It was a gorgeous weekend for soccer across the entire state of Arizona! This week in the Phoenix Rising FC Arizona Premier League, we watch a match between AZ Arsenal 05 Girls Premier Teal vs Sereno Soccer Club 05 Girls and Blackhawks 05 Boys vs Tanque Verde 05 Boys Blue.
Every week, the Arizona Youth Soccer Association will be highlighting a boys and girls "Game of the Week" match in the Phoenix Rising FC Arizona Premier League.

AZ Arsenal 05 Girls Premier Teal vs Sereno Soccer Club 05 Girls

AZ Arsenal 05 Girls Premier Teal, the highest scoring team in the Girls U13 Arizona Premier League, continued their impressive scoring run with a 3-0 victory over Sereno Soccer Club 05 Girls on Saturday morning.
AZ Arsenal has scored 11 goals, have not allowed a goal, and are first in their group with a 3-0-0 record.
At the start of the match, Sereno created the majority of chances with opportunities that were all saved by the Arsenal goalkeeper in the 12th, 19th, and 20th minutes.
Arsenal then countered and Khamil Pierre scored the opening goal when she dribbled into the box and lofted the ball over the Sereno goalkeepers outstretched arms in the 22nd minute.
Arsenal added a second goal when Shekaina Rigrihs collected a free ball on the edge of the box and hammered in a low shot in the 35th minute. Arsenal applied pressure again at the start of the second half and the third and final goal was scored in the 62nd minute when Pierre floated another shot over the goalkeeper.
Up next for Arsenal is Arizona Soccer Club Thunder 05 Girls Bayern Elite on Saturday. Sereno, who is third in the group, will face Classic 05 Premier Girls on October 15.
Boys
Blackhawks 05 Boys vs Tanque Verde 05 Boys Blue

Two goals in the first half and four goals in the second half propelled Blackhawks 05 Boys to a 6-0 victory over Tanque Verde 05 Boys Blue on Sunday morning.
Before Blackhawks scored their opening goal, Tanque Verde had a chance to take the lead in the 6th minute when Blackhawks coughed up the ball in their final third. A Tanque player collected the ball and unfortunately wasn't able to finish the chance from a tight angle.
Blackhawks did score their opening goal in the 32nd minute when a cross was headed into the net by Connor Geraghty. Just three minutes after this, Geraghty doubled the Blackhawks lead when he followed through on his original shot and finished before the goalkeeper could collect the ball from the first shot.
The third goal was scored in the 38th minute on another cross-and-header, this one by Josh Poulin. Luke Burns added a fourth goal on a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 60th minute, Mattie Habovstak finished a cross on the back post and Ciaran Geraghty added the sixth and final goal in the 62nd minute from a shot on the edge of the box.
Blackhawks, who are first in their group, will face AZ Arsenal 05 Boys Premier Teal on Saturday and Tanque Verde will face Phoenix Brazas 05 Boys on Saturday as well.
