A hat-trick from Genevieve Alexander powered Phoenix Rush 06 Girls to a 4-0 victory over Arizona Soccer Club on Saturday afternoon.

Arizona Soccer Club's goalkeeper Sophia Larios had a busy first half as she made two crucial stops in the 11th minute on a Phoenix Rush breakaway and again in the 25th minute on a shot from distance. The breakthrough for the Phoenix Rush came in the 28th minute when Alexander pounced on a free ball and slotted home the opening goal.

After the halftime break, Phoenix Rush came out and scored three goals in 10 minutes. Alexander scored her second in the 32nd minute and recorded her hat-trick in the 35th minute. Kailee Beaudion Foliuki scored the fourth and final goal in the 40th minute.

Phoenix Rush's defense played sharp down the stretch to hold on to their first shutout in Arizona Premier League action. Up next for the Phoenix Rush is Scottsdale Soccer 06G Blackhawks. Arizona Soccer Club will face Legacy 06 Girls Red. Both matches will be at the Striker Complex on Saturday, October 14.

John Tapia scored goals on either side of the half in a 2-0 victory for the SC del Sol 02 Boys who are second in the U16 age group.

After a quiet first 20 minutes of play, the pace started to pick up and SC del Sol had the first attempt in the 24th minute on a shot that sailed wide. In the 26th minute, it was the AZ Nomads turn but a blistering shot from distance was saved by the SC del Sol goalkeeper.

SC del Sol then went up a goal in the 32nd minute when a player dribbled down the left wing and cut inside towards the box. Near the touchline, the player sent in a low cross that was tapped in by Tapia on the back post.

Both sides continued to trade chances in the second half with AZ Nomads goalkeeper Jordan Santa Cruz coming up big with saves in the 43rd and 55th minutes, which saw him dive to his left to punch out the ball.

In the 67th minute, AZ Nomads had their best chance to equalize but a serious of unfortunate events prevented the ball from finding a way into the net. A shot was blocked, another was cleared off the line, and the last shot was well wide. All of this happening in 10 seconds.

SC del Sol doubled their lead in the 73rd minute when Tapia collected a cross and finished near post with his left.

Up next for SC del Sol is Valparaiso 02 Boys. AZ Nomads will face Sereno 02 Boys. Both matches will be played on Friday, October 20 at Scottsdale Sports Complex.
