In the early Phoenix Rising FC Game of the Week - Girls, Legacy jumped out to an early three goal lead just eight minutes into the match thanks to McKinley Hacker, who scored the first and second goals, and Jae Pallas, who scored the third.
CCV stormed back and had two opportunities to pull a goal back in the 11th and 23rd minutes, but they were stopped by Legacy's goalkeeper Taylor Prigge However, the third time was the charm for CCV as a clever moved allowed a player to create space with some shifty moves to cut to Legacy lead to 3-1.
Both sides created chances in the second half and each opportunity was saved thanks to some clever goalkeeping by Prigge and the CCV's goalkeeper.
As CCV continued to push players forward for a goal Legacy was able to take advantage and a counter up the middle allowed Pallas to score her second and final goal of the match.
With this victory, and another one on Sunday, Legacy 04 Girls Red are top in the U-14 APL standings with a 2-1-0; 7 Pts. record. CCV Stars 04 Girls are third with a 1-1-1; 4 Pts.

In a very anticipated match, Sereno Soccer Club walked away with a 2-1 victory.
Sereno jumped out to an early lead in the 8th minute on a brilliant free kick goal from John Liley that was a few yards outside of the box. Blackhawks responded well to the goal and equalized the match in the 23rd minute on a great individual effort by Everett Scott.
Halfway through the second half, the referee signaled for a Sereno penalty after a handball in the box. Sereno's Isahi Amparo stepped up and calmly converted the penalty.
Blackhawks pushed for the equalizer but were stopped by a stingy Sereno defense.
This was the first match for both sides in the 2017-18 Phoenix Rising FC Arizona Premier League.
