DES MOINES (Thursday, July 8th, 2021) --  Spartans FC Academy 07 Boys are off to a hot start at the 2021 US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup winning their opening match, 4-2, against NWRAA IFC 07B Red (Mississippi).

Scoring in today's match was: Jared Arvizu (2) Roman Murillo, and Alex Flores. 

Spartans FC, looking to become the first Arizona team to win at the National Presidents Cup since SC del Sol 98 Girls in 2013, are set to face West Virginia Futbol Club 2007 Boys on Friday and Boreal FC B14 (Minnesota) on Saturday. If Spartans wins one of these two matches, they'll advance to the championship match on Sunday.
