PHOENIX - The last time State Farm Stadium hosted a Gold Cup knockout round match featuring Mexico was back in 2019 and this year's Gold Cup will most likely feature Mexico again.

On Thursday, CONCACAF released the schedule for the 2021 Gold Cup and State Farm Stadium will play host to two quarterfinals on July 24. AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas will host the other two quarterfinals matches.
The schedule will see the winner from Group D take on the second place team from Group A at 4:30 p.m., and the winner from Group A will take on the second place team from Group D at 7:00 p.m.
Mexico is in Group A alongside El Salvador, Curacao, and the winner from the 2021 Gold Cup qualification.
Group D features Honduras, Panama, Grenada, and Qatar who was invited by CONCACAF to participate.
Back in 2019, State Farm Stadium hosted a semifinals match that saw Mexico defeat Haiti 1-0 in extra time. In 2015, the stadium hosted group stage matches and in 2017 the stadium hosted the quarterfinals.
