
Wednesday, June 6, 2018 -- Three Arizona players have been named to U.S. Soccer's National Teams.
Traveling to U.S. Soccer National Development Center in Kansas City for the U-18 training camp is Ewrin Martinez (Real Salt Lake). Traveling to the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida for the U-16 training camp is Yahir Lopez (Phoenix Rising FC) and Ivan Pino (Tuzos Soccer Club).
This the first call-up for all three Arizona players during the 2018-19 player cycle. The U-18 camp runs from June 4-11 and Martinez is one of 27 players named to the camp. This group of players will form the core of the group that will eventually attempt to qualify for the 2021 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
The U-16 camp is being held with a U-17 camp that runs from June 2-10. 30 players were name to the U-16 team and 29 for the U-17 team. Lopez and Pino are age-eligible for the 2019 U-17 World Cup and will eventually be the core age group for the team that will attempt to qualify for the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
