Tuzos Advance to US Youth Soccer National Championships

DALLAS (Saturday, July 29, 2017) -- Tuzos Academy 02 Boys are heading to the US Youth Soccer National Championships U-15 Finals match following their 1-0 win over BRYC 02 Elite (VA) on Saturday morning.

The final will be played at 7:00 a.m. Arizona time and it will be LIVE streamed.

Tuzos dominated play in the early going and a 5th minute shot from Angel Ramirez just sailed over the crossbar. In the 16th minute, Luke Macias had a look that sailed just wide and right before the half Tuzos had another chance that was saved by the BRYC goalkeeper.

After the halftime break Tuzos continued to push for a goal and the breakthrough came in the 56th minute when Ivan Pino sent a cross in from the right side. The ball bounced around before Jason Villalba ran up to it and slotted home his fourth goal in as many matches. Tuzos dominated the majority of the match and there was never a doubt that they would walk away with a victory.

Tuzos face local club Solar Chelsea Red 02 in the final. Solar advanced to the final after defeating St. Louis Scott Gallagher 2-1. In group play, Solar won all three matches scoring nine goals and conceding zero goals.
