What is the Club v Club Championship?
The Club vs Club Championship is the competition where our Tier 2 Club Based members (NAZ2) compete for club placement into the National 1 League Club Based League. As a pathway into the National 1 League, the Club v Club Championship aims to uphold national standards and competition aligned with the National 1 League (also known as “N1”).
Clubs will compete and showcase their teams, in ages U13-U19, in order to earn a promoted spot in the following season’s N1 club-based league. The club’s overall performance and results will provide the pathway for promotion and relegation within ASA’s club-based leagues: N1 Club Based and the Club v Club Championship.
Who will play in the Club v Club Championship?
Arizona Soccer Association is the league operator for the CvCC.
For ASA, the CvCC division will align with the N1 club-based group for promotion & relegation based on overall club performance & standards. ASA will have an application process for clubs interested in participating in CvCC. This means that teams not currently competing in ASA’s club based leagues may still be eligible and are encouraged to apply for consideration.
All applications will be reviewed and decided by ASA’s N1 alignment committee. Applications for the 26/27 season are due in early spring, as outlined on the application link posted HERE
CvCC will operate through club designated & agreed upon dates, with U15-U19 teams taking a league break during the Arizona High School season.
Clubs applying for CvCC membership will be subject to a $1,000 application/operation bond, while individual teams will have a $750 registration fee for the season. Referee fees will be paid by the teams, as outlined in the CvCC rules and match day standards.
Does CvCC have a post season?
The CvCC does not have a direct pathway to a playoff event, but teams are encouraged to apply for ASA’s President or State Cup event for a chance to earn their spot in the 2027 USYS National Championships.
