Her love for soccer began as a way to connect and compete with her siblings, and the challenge of being the only girl helped strengthen her passion for the game. Today, she remains committed to coaching, creating welcoming spaces, and helping girls and women feel heard, valued, and part of a soccer family. She believes the next generation should always remember to have fun, because enjoyment is essential to continued growth. Away from soccer, she enjoys baking and supporting individuals with special needs. Her dream 3v3 team includes Rose Lavelle, Alex Morgan, and Megan Rapinoe, while her energetic yet balanced coaching style is best represented by rave music. She also credits her mother and significant other for encouraging her journey and supporting her continued development as a coach.
1. What inspired you to first get involved in soccer, and what keeps you passionate about it today?
It was my opportunity to connect and play with my siblings. Being the only girl I always enjoyed being challenged so when I would play with my siblings, it was never easy, which made it that much. More fun for me.
2.If you weren’t actively participating in the development of youth soccer, what do you think you’d be doing instead?
If that wasn’t actively participating in the development of youth soccer, I would probably be continuing my second passion, which is baking. Or working with special need children and adults by creating a safe space where they can participate in.
3.If you had to form a 3v3 team of past and present female soccer players, what would be your pick?
I had a form of three V3 team of passive present female players first one definitely would be Rose Lavelle, Alex Morgan, Megan Rapino
4.Can you share a piece of advice for the future generation of women who are passionate about a career in soccer?
One piece of advice that I would give for the future generation is make sure you’re having fun with what you’re doing because when it’s no longer fun you’re no longer getting better.
5.What music do you think best fits your coaching style?
The kind of music that best fits my coaching style would be rave music. Just rave music and go super hyped up and excited. It also goes mellow in parts.
6.What’s a tradition you would like to introduce to make the soccer ecosystem more welcoming for girls and women?
A tradition I would like to introduce to make a soccer ecosystem more welcoming for girls and women is listening to what they also have to say invalidating that they’re feelings matter along with maintaining a culture where it’s a family not just a group of people you’ll see for a while.
7.You have two tickets to the 2027 Women’s World Cup. Who would you bring with you and why?
If I two tickets to the 2027 women’s World Cup. I would definitely bring my mom who had inspired me to continue pursuing the sport of soccer even when things got tough and I would bring my significant other as he has allowed me and pushed me to continue my coaching career, but has also helped me develop as a coach how to better improve my coaching game .
8.What’s your go‑to snack or drink during long tournament weekends?
I go to snack has changed over the years but the one thing for sure that is always my go to is a bowl of fruit that consist of strawberries, grape grapes, and melon as for my drink not my healthiest option but definitely an original Red Bull. Sadly, it doesn’t give me wings, but it definitely gives me the energy to uplift my team and get us going.
9.You have been offered the following options to leave as your lasting legacy in soccer? What option would you pick?
Win an Olympic Gold but lose the World Cup on Penalties.
10.What’s your favorite part of game day that people don’t notice?
My favorite part of game day that a lot of people don’t notice is the preparation. I put myself through as a coach. Now I often times will sit at the dining table with my significant other and have them listen through my walk-through of what I’m planning to do for the game or tournament, but we have our morning coffee. This is to reassure myself that I have a game plan.
11.If you could invent a new soccer rule for fun, what would it be?
A new soccer rule I would invent for fun would be after a throw in players have to say 6-7.

My favorite quote is “ It doesn’t matter the size of the dog in the fight. It’s the fight that the dog has.”!
