APL Club Transfers: APL Players that transfer to another APL Club/Team after September 25 of the season year are ineligible to participate in APL games only for that season.
ASA will utilize GotSoccer for the League Scheduling.
CRITICAL TIP: When the GotSoccer Team account is being created or when the existing GotSoccer Team account is being updated, it is CRITICAL to adjust the Team ID# first before adding the coach or team officials. Adding the Coach and Team Officials on the team account first and then later adjusting the Team ID field will result in the Coach and Team Officials field being wiped out.
Do not set up separate Coach accounts for each team or scheduling for Coach Conflicts will not occur.
12U Heading Education
If a player is playing up in an older age group (ex: 10-year-old playing with a 12U team), please note that players who are 10 and younger should not be heading the ball regardless of the age group in which they play. This requires education and support from the coach and parent to instruct the player accordingly.
Advanced Leagues Application Process
(Section 2.07 & 2.08 of Rules): Teams may apply using the LINK below under Key Dates & Information (Deadline 6/11/19). Applying teams should have a realistic expectation based on their prior season finish in League and Cups. The application requires detailed information to support the request to be reviewed by the Selection Sub Committee. All returning and new teams planning on playing in Advanced Leagues must complete the application process. BOYS or GIRLS or see below for Automatic Qualifiers. *9 Player continuity rule for automatic qualifiers or they become an open applicant.
Arizona Advanced Leagues Selection Process
Each year teams may apply for Arizona Advanced Leagues. Selection Sub Committees are formed once the Chairperson is selected by the League Commissioner or League Operations Committee. It is the responsibility of the Sub Committee members to leverage their experience and expertise in reviewing the team applications. Placement of the applied teams is a tedious process as Sub Committee members review the information on the application, validate past season's results, review last Arizona State Cup or President's Cup results, and other variables to be considered. The Selection Sub Committee will review applications based on deadlines below and will be responsible for notification to teams of acceptance.
Sub Committee Chairs
Please contact the Chair of the Sub Committee to be considered for participation on an age group committee. The sub committees will be responsible for reviewing APL/ASL applications and making placement recommendations to the League Operation Committee. Coaches participating on a Sub Committee must have a coaching license and passed Safe Sport and background check. Only coaches will be considered for the Sub Committees. All Sub Committee Chairs will be posted by 6/15/2019

Advanced Leagues Placement Notification Process
The League Commissioner will notify the teams via email to register for the league (APL, ASL1, ASL2) in GotSoccer. While in "DRAFT" status, teams do not need to register until "FINAL" status is posted. Once status of an age group is updated to "FINAL" in the table below, the team should register as instructed by the League Commissioner. Only teams that are notified that they are accepted should register.
Teams that are on the Waiting List on some age groups have not been placed in APL, ASL1, or ASL2 at this time. A team will be notified if their status changes. Teams on the Waiting List should prepare to register for their regional open league such as Arizona Soccer Association's OPEN LEAGUE, PCJSL, or other Affiliate League.
Teams that are identified in a PLAY IN game will be notified after teams register. ASA will schedule the games in August before the regular season begins.
